Elitsa Garnizova

Dr Elitsa Garnizova is the Founder and Director of LSE Consulting’s Trade Policy Hub (TPH) at the London School of Economics. TPH is a global trade consultancy dedicated to applying customised robust methodologies to trade policy issues. She leads on projects in the area of trade and investment, including policy research, impact and policy evaluations, and stakeholder consultations. She is also an Associate at the International Trade Policy Unit of the LSE and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Elitsa has worked on a range of projects for public and private institutions, focusing on barriers to trade and investment and regulatory issues in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the US. She has recently worked on the vulnerabilities of the UK supply chains post-Brexit, US-UK-EU relations, impact and implementation of trade agreements and sustainability issues, particularly human rights. She holds a PhD in International Political Economy from LSE, focusing on EU trade negotiations and the inclusion of regulatory issues, an MA in European Studies from KU Leuven, Belgium, and a BSc in International Economic and Management from Bocconi University, Italy.

She is a Guest Teacher at the London School of Economics and New Bulgarian University on courses Trade Policy, Global Political Economy, International Economics, and Globalisation.
