On 30 September 2019, EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström will host the 'Trade for Her' conference to find out how to achieve greater involvement of women in international trade, in the EU and beyond. The conference will look into the results of the first ever study on barriers faced by women in the European Union who are engaged in international trade. High-level representatives from international organisations, governments, businesses and civil society, will share their experiences, views and ideas on women in trade. Speakers include Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner for Trade; Arancha Gonzalez, Executive Director, International Trade Centre; Roberto Azevêdo, Director General, World Trade Organisation; Guy Ryder, Director General, International Labour Organisation; Vera Songwe, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa; Carolina Valdivia Torres, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Chile;  Isabelle Durant, Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations Conference on Trade And Development; Sabine Weyand, Director General for Trade, European Commission; Luisa Santos, Director for International Relations, BusinessEurope; Neven Mimica, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development; Ville Skinnari, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland, and many more.
